Warren Zanes

Warren Zanes, former Del Fuego, current professor-rocker, showed up at the Lizard Lounge Saturday night as part of a mini tour behind his excellent second album, "People That I'm Wrong For." He played super-early, starting around 9, and to a house that should have been packed. Because except for the bald, bearded man angered by apparently being left off the guest list, Zanes - backed by Baltimore's Starbelly - was spot on, so good we resisted the urge to call out for "The Hokey Pokey."
