It turns out that Julianne Lee, the violinist just hired to start at the Boston Symphony Orchestra in the fall, is only 22. That makes her the BSO's youngest player by three years. (The BSO won't give us the name of the 25-year-old; its policy is apparently to not release such information.) Lee is in the front row of this picture by Cambridge's Susan Wilson:

The BSO's other violin hire, Jason Horowitz, also trained at New England Conservatory. But we're not going to show him because he's so old. 34.
