After 25 years with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Patricia Barker [below] is getting ready to retire. This summer, she heads east to teach for Boston Ballet under artistic director Mikko Nissinen.

Also, Jorma Elo, Boston Ballet's resident choreographer, gets raves for "Slice to Sharp," a piece done by the New York City Ballet.
