Fresh Arts News

The North Shore Music Theatre is bringing back "Cinderella," the show that was cancelled after just four performances last summer because of a fire. The show will run from August 22 through September 22.

Good news for the Jupiter String Quartet. The group, which spent the last two years in New England Conservatory's Professional String Quartet Training Program, will begin a residency with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The list of past residents is none too shabby, including Jonathan Biss and Hilary Hahn.

Tanglewood tells us that James Taylor, a.k.a. "the biggest wuss ever," has sold out his August 21 appearance. He'll play to a capacity crowd of 18,000 at the Koussevitzky Music Shed.
