The Dead Body Show Protest That Won't Die

Posted by Geoff Edgers August 8, 2006 06:26 AM

So far, the Museum of Science has pretty much brushed off all critics of its "Body Worlds 2" show. That's hasn't stopped Sharon pharmacist Aaron Ginsburg, who has created a web site as part of his protest of the exhibition. Ginsburg's site includes links to others who don't appreciate the "art" of Gunther von Hagens.

  1. i think that it is disgusting and just sick to carve apart a body this way, and have it posed in such a horrifying way! i study art, and appreciate all forms and ideas to the subject, however, i think we need to ask ourselves where to draw the line. Seriously!!! i think that this 'artist' is incredibly sick and needs to find help, as do the poeple who have gone to one of his exhibitions.
Why are we allowing this to happen when there are so many scientific, beneficial purposes to be discovered and done, which could benefit everyone, instead of allowing bodies to be stuffed and mantled? i mean, whats next- after the exhibition i mean? i can't think of anyone who'd buy it (and who shouldn't be locked up afterward), so what do we do with these destroyed bodies?
in the end, each to their own i guess, but i mean, this is just too far out- too wrong!
