[UPDATE #2: The New York Times weighs in, and seems to be snickering at the MFA's approach - big ceremony, big deal - as opposed to the Met's casual cool. Of course, the different approaches might have to do with the MFA getting a nine foot statue and the Met receiving a cup.]
Here's a picture of the statue unveiled at the MFA today. I'd have more to say about it except I've got this little thing called a story to write by 5:30. It is worth noting that the Getty - which is feuding with the same Italian officials the MFA hosted today - is continuing its our-best-defense-is-offense strategy.
