New Law To Protect Artists
Today at 12:30, down at Midway Studios, legislators and art advocates will gather to mark a new measure meant to offer more protections to artists selling their works.
The new law, State Senator Jack Hart and Representative Eric Turkington say, "reestablishes trust in the marketplace shaken by the recent Boston Corporate Art (2003) and Haley and Steele (2005) incidents, in which artists and owners of art were threatened with the loss of their art because of the sudden closure of businesses."
