Ellen Landau, who has declined, at last count, at least a handful of Globe requests for an interview - actually, not declined, just not returned the calls - speaks in the New York Times.

She talks to Randy Kennedy for a "Week In Review" piece that discusses the increasingly use of science in art research.

Friday night, Alex Matter (below) - he's the one who found the 32 works in questions back in 2002 - called me up for a piece I'm working on. I won't say much here, other than that he remains convinced the paintings Harvard recently tested are Pollocks. His reasoning, which we'll detail soon in the paper, might make more sense that you would expect.
