Peter Watchorn

Posted by Geoff Edgers March 18, 2008 12:54 PM

Yes, as the Globe reported today in this bizarre tale of overzealous citizenry, Peter Watchorn is a professional harpsichordist. But I'm not sure the story truly made clear how important Watchorn is in the music world. I'm not blaming the Globe reporter. It was a Metro story, not a classical music review. Still, it's worth noting that Watchorn has received America’s premier early music prize, the Erwin Bodky Memorial Award. He runs his own record label. And he is famed internationally for his interpretations of J.S. Bach.

Unfortunately, he also owns an olive-green ski jacket. Apparently, that arouses suspicion.
