To Advertise, Or Not To Advertise

Posted by Geoff Edgers March 12, 2008 06:32 PM

There were some pretty fat ads - full page, full color - in the New York Times Museums section today. The Clark. The Museum of Fine Arts. Even the Bard Graduate Center. But nothing from the Institute of Contemporary Art. I asked why.

Paul Bessire, the ICA's deputy director said:

"The section wasn't part of our advertising plan."
