For the first time, the Boston Symphony Chamber Players are heading aboard the Queen Mary 2. They will perform on the ship leaving New York on Sept. 4.

"Cunard Line, the Official Cruise Line of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, will welcome these players and the Boston Symphony Orchestra's esteemed Artistic Administrator, Anthony Fogg, for special performances and lectures held throughout the voyage.

"There is no better way to celebrate the partnership between the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Cunard Line than for the Boston Symphony Chamber Players to perform their extraordinary music aboard the magnificent Queen Mary 2," said Mark Volpe, managing director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. "The Boston Symphony Chamber Players have performed to critical acclaim in the great concert halls around the globe and we are excited to add performances on the world's grandest ocean liner to our list of accomplishments."
