Gardner Music Whiz, Off To Cleveland

Charlotte Landrum, who played such a central role in getting the Gardner's podcasts up and running, has headed off to Ohio where she's working at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Landrum, 24, told me that the move made sense with her boyfriend in medical school at Case Western.

"It's incredible, the amount of really great music and art there is out here," said Landrum.

Her title is associate director of media relations. But Landrum envisions tapping into her online approach. "In fact, we've recruited another Bostonite to come out here. Ben Jones, who is coming from MIT to be the vp of communications for Oberlin College. He started this huge, great blogging site for MIT admissions."

The Gardner says it is searching now for a replacement.
