Year Long Disaster

Posted by Geoff Edgers June 25, 2008 12:33 AM

I don't get out as much as I used to. You know, I'm 37, boys and girls. But the wife and kid are away - camping, no less - and so I headed to the Middle East to see Year Long Disaster. And I'm glad I did. The lead singer and guitarist is Daniel Davies, a wiry-thin 6 foot 2. He's the son of Kinks guitarist Dave, but the band sounds more like Zeppelin crossed with the Stripes. A true power trio. They played a set that mixed music from their debut and new songs and I'm glad I was one of the 37 people who headed out on a Tuesday night.
