The Boston Business Journal publishes an annual Book of Lists (for $70 I might add, which is why I perused it at the library!). The 2008 edition includes data from the 2006/2007 season. Page 216 contains a list of the largest performing arts organizations; the Snappy Dance Theater came in at position 16, down from position 12 the previous year. Data: attendance of 21,291 patrons; number of performances, 60; total cash annual budget, $349,000. Comparison with Number One, the Boston Symphony & Pops (excluding the Esplanade concerts): attendance, 955,822 (would have been higher if not for the number of Schoenberg works performed...but the Beethoven did help somewhat); number of performances, 343; total cash annual budget, $77,800,000.
