Posted by Geoff Edgers October 7, 2008 11:16 AM

Burgess Clark, who was until recently director of education and children's programs at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, has been named the executive artistic director of Boston Children's Theatre.

Clark also worked as director of theatre and playwriting at Perry-Mansfield School of Arts in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and at Milwaukee Children's Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, and Mid-Pacific Institute and Honolulu Theatre for Youth, both in Hawaii. His first BCT production is "The Sound of Music," presented at the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts in Boston from Nov. 22 - Dec. 21.
