Handel and Haydn Society, new team

Posted by Geoff Edgers October 16, 2008 06:54 PM

Not long after the appointment of Harry Christophers as artistic director, the Handel and Haydn Society announces it has brought on directors of development/external affairs and finance/administration and an artistic administrator.

Rita McAteer, the development/external affairs director, arrives from Boston Lyric Opera, where she has worked since 2005. Before that, McAteer served as marketing director for the Huntington Theatre Company.

Rob Nairn, the new artistic administrator, has been principal bass for the Handel and Haydn Society since 2003.

Clifford H. Rust, finance/administration director, has been a member of Handel and Haydn Society professional chorus for 15 years. That's nice. But the reason Rust got this job is his MBA, cum laude, from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
