Just back, it's worth catching up on a few items.

The miffed maestro story is just a stunner, though it did provide a young assistant conductor a chance to shine.

Tanglewood's new season is out. In addition to a compelling musical program, the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer home has decided to expand its free lawn ticket policy to teenagers.

New England Conservatory has appointed violinist Roger Tapping to its full-time faculty.

Memo to arts leaders looking to keep their jobs: Try not to contribute to campaigns to ban gay marriage.
