Criticizing the conductor

The great story of the day has to be the tale of Gilbert E. Kaplan's appearance with the New York Philharmonic. Seems that some of the players didn't apprecate the amateur conduct's technique. They blogged and talked about it.

In the other corner is Norman Lebrecht, the contrarian master who explains why, in his opinion, Kaplan is in the right here.
