Boston Symphony Orchestra extends contract

There won't be an ugly battle between the musicians and the management of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The two sides have agreed to a two-year extension of the BSO's current deal, with salaries remaining the same through August 28, 2011.

No raises, you say? Well, consider the alternatives, here, here and here.
