Free talk: Ilchman on Venice

Posted by Geoff Edgers July 8, 2009 06:59 AM

The Museum of Fine Arts says that the public has been asking for Frederick Ilchman, so tonight, the public gets him.

The MFA's assistant curator gives a pair of talks, at 6 and 7 p.m., hooked to the exhibition "Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese." Ilchman will explain "the rivalries and innovations of the three great artists of Renaissance Venice - where the painters were even more cutthroat than the merchants."
