Just in time for the annual late-summer onslaught of bugs, three local exhibitions offer vastly different looks at all manner of things that that creep, crawl, and fly.
"Big Bugs" is an exhibit of sculptor David Rogers's outsized wooden insects at Garden in the Woods in Framingham. At the Cape Ann Museum, painter Sam Holdsworth's exhibit, "Greenheads," mythologizes the life cycle of those pesky critters. "Order Insecta," a group show at the Concord Art Association, celebrates all kinds of bugs, with a special emphasis on moths and butterflies
