Nicole Kidman

Before Katie Holmes made the leap to the stage, there was another Mrs. Cruise who caught the spotlight. Nicole Kidman (left) made her Broadway debut in 1998 in a skin-baring role in "The Blue Room," a move which some claim helped her gain more challenging roles in her film career.

Screen credits: "Far and Away," (1992), "Moulin Rouge!" (2001), and "The Hours" (2002).

Pictured from left: Kidman and fellow screen and stage performer Hugh Jackman (he won a Tony Award for "The Boy From Oz") in their new movie "Australia," which hits US theaters on Nov. 26.
