RICHES: NEW WORK BY ELLEN RICH AND MATTHEW RICH: Ellen Rich began pursuing a career in art after turning 40. Matthew Rich began creating at age 7. Now the two are sharing a show. Like his mother before him, Matthew has gone abstract. You can see correspondences in their work. Both make painted paper constructions that play along the edge between flat and three-dimensional. Each has a color sense to set your retinas vibrating. Her pieces are more textured, larger, and gaudier. His are more conceptually layered.
