About Helfand:

Jessica Helfand works in partnership with her husband William Drenttel at Winterhouse, a design collaborative in New England, and is one of the founding editors of the blog Design Observer. She has written for numerous national publications and is the author of several books on design and cultural criticism. Helfand has taught for the past decade at Yale University and lives with her family in northwest Connecticut. Her own scrapbook collection numbers well over 200 documents.
