FREE EVENTS SCHEDULE for FRIDAY, JULY 27, 2012
The first day of the arts weekend starts off with a cross-genre, cross-generational look at the legacy of American music--blending a world of jazz and soul and bluegrass, old traditions and new directions. Alison Krauss protege and recent Berklee graduate, Sierra Hull, will play her new brand of bluegrass with her band Highway 111 and the legendary Del McCoury will bring over 50 years of American roots to the stage. The iconic Preservation Hall Jazz Band and the Soul Queen of New Orleans Irma Thomas will also add to the rich heritage of American's homegrown music on display Friday.
After the music ends on the Copley Stage, continue your night with a Copley Club performance. Learn more about these exclusive ticketed events and buy tickets here.
