Zoe Christiansen is a multi-instrumentalist and improviser who has taught and performed at klezmer festivals worldwide. She has studied and worked with renowned klezmers Hankus Netsky, Alan Bern, Frank London, and Michael Alpert, and has toured with Daniel Kahn and the Painted Bird Ensemble. Christiansen's love of folk music led her to study music in Germany, Macedonia, and Moldova and collaborate with many other local musicians throughout her European travels. One of the most sought-after performers and teachers in the modern folk scene, she is also currently a bachelors degree candidate at New England Conservatory. Zoe Christiansen will be performing with Session Americana on the main stage on Saturday at 8 p.m. and as part of the Saturday night After Dark event.
