Since the New England Conservatory's founding in 1867, the school and its musicians have played a major role in the musical life of Boston, the nation, and the world. Jordan Hall 1013-seat concert hall, a National Historic Landmark, acclaimed as one of the world's most acoustically perfect performance spaces. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, and scholar, Hankus Netsky teaches improvisation and Jewish music. He is the founder and director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, an internationally renowned Yiddish music ensemble. New England Conservatory Jewish Music Ensemble will be performing on the main stage on Sunday at 1 p.m.
