BOSTON (AP) — The oldies are about to become old news on a Boston radio station.

WODS-FM is dropping its long-time oldies music format and switching to a contemporary pop format on Thursday, when the CBS-owned station will formally become known as the AMP.

The station’s current on-air staff will be let go and will be replaced with new personalities at a later date.

Classic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s will continue to be played on the website wods.com and on WODS-HD.
