She has been trying to get more attention for her network, and she came up with a great solution. Thursday and Friday nights, Oprah talks to Lance Armstrong in a pretaped two-part interview, and he will reportedly — after years of denials — confess to having used performance-enhancing drugs during his celebrated cycling career. Before the interview, Armstrong told the AP: “I’m calm, I’m at ease and ready to speak candidly.” After the interview, Oprah tweeted: “Just wrapped with @lancearmstrong More than 2½ hours. He came READY!”

Newsreaders Midnight, Adult Swim

This new comedy is from the makers of “Childrens Hospital,” so you can imagine how twisted — and hysterical — it is. The 15-minute episodes are heavy parodies of network newsmagazines. In the premiere, anchor Louis LaFonda (Mather Zickel, above) investigates a sex van invented by two college guys, or so it seems. Dan Rather appears briefly on Thursday night, along with Aaron Staton (from “Mad Men”), Brian Posehn, and Missi Pyle.
