Sunday

10-8 | ABC | 8 p.m.
Starring | Danny Nucci, Ernie Hudson
They Say | A Brooklyn tough straightens out and joins the LAPD, where he's hazed like crazy.
We Say | The well-chosen cast, with "Oz" alums, can't change the fact that it's a lite catalog of rookie-cop cliches.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Oh Happy Training Day"
Grade | C+

Cold Case | CBS | 8 p.m.
Starring | Kathryn Morris
They Say | The lone woman on Philly's homicide squad tackles old, unsolved crimes.
We Say | This "Cold Case" is skunked. The premiere stinks, as it mines the overexposed Moxley murder for material.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | Direct to video
Grade | D

Arrested Development | FOX | 9:30 p.m.
Starring | Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Jessica Walter, Jeffrey Tambor
They Say | Bateman's the normal guy in a warped Orange County clan whose big money is in a little trouble.
We Say | It's the season's most promising new comedy. Shot in brisk mockumentary style, it delivers family greed with sparkling black humor.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Tenenbaums Landing"
Grade | A-

The Lyon's Den | NBC | 10 p.m.
Starring | Rob Lowe, Frances Fisher, Kyle Chandler
They Say | Lowe's an idealistic lawyer in a D.C. office seething with corruption.
We Say | The former Brat Packer is lousy with sanctimony, and the villains who hate him are cartoons. "Den" wants to be John Grisham, but it's more like "Dudley Doright."
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "The Not-so-Firm"
Grade | C

Tarzan | WB | 9 p.m.
Starring | Travis Fimmel, Sarah Wayne Callies
They Say | Me half apeman, you New York cop. The WB reinvents another myth for the youth market.
We Say | Me bored, you too. The bland stylings of model Fimmel as Tarzan and the faux cityscape make it as dramatic as a jeans ad.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Tarzan C.K."
Grade | C-

Also on Sunday | Parents help their son be- come a talk-show host in the odious "Ortegas." (FOX)
