It's All Relative | ABC | 8:30 p.m.
Starring | Lenny Clarke, John Benjamin Hickey
They Say | The kids are in love in Boston, but his folks are working-class Irish Catholics, and hers are show-tune-slinging gay men. Culture clash, anyone?
We Say | It makes "Dharma and Greg" look subtle. The overbaked stereotypes are served with a side of stale repartee.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "La Cage aux Folles in the Family"
Grade | C-
Karen Sisco | ABC | 10 p.m.
Starring | Carla Gugino, Robert Forster
They Say | Based on Elmore Leonard fiction, it follows federal marshal Sisco - the J.Lo character in "Out of Sight" - as she tracks fugitives in Miami.
We Say | One of the season's best, it has a wry eye for character, plenty of action, and an offbeat bond between tough-gal Sisco and her PI dad.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Outta Sight"
Grade | A-
The Brotherhood of Poland, NH | CBS | 10 p.m.
Starring | Randy Quaid, Mare Winningham, Christopher Penn, John Carroll Lynch
They Say | David E. Kelley charts the marital woes of three unenlightened New Hampshire brothers.
We Say | The small-town melodrama is thick, with none of the charm of "Picket Fences." We've seen these guy's guys and their wives in better vehicles.
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Husbands Club"
Grade | C+
A Minute With Stan Hooper | FOX | 8:30 p.m.
Starring | Norm Macdonald, Penelope Ann Miller
They Say | A New York TV commentator and his wife move to Wisconsin in search of small-town charm. But they find anything but normalcy.
We Say | Macdonald tries "Newhart," as the sane guy in a town of cracked nuts. But we knew "Newhart," "Newhart" was a friend of ours. Norm's no "Newhart."
If I Were a Movie I'd Be | "Sullivan's Travels in Green Acres"
Grade | C+
Also on Wednesday | A computer geek with superpowers delivers action with a smirk in "Jake 2.0." (UPN)
