Maroulis surprisingly sent home

Last night, ''American Idol" favorite Constantine Maroulis was unexpectedly voted out of the competition, despite ongoing support from both the judges and howling live audiences. While Paula Abdul sobbed and consoled Maroulis's mom, the rocking New Yorker with the cocky attitude delivered a gracious farewell to his fans and castmates with no regrets. Anthony Fedorov and Vonzell Solomon were Maroulis's partners in the bottom three.
