It's started again. Wednesday's season premiere of ''Lost" raised about 4,815,162,342 more questions than it answered. What's with that biosphere at the bottom of the hatch? What was Walt doing in the woods, dripping wet? Is John Locke good or evil? Who is Desmond, and why is he listening to Mama Cass?
Admit it. You spent a good portion of the day online, trolling for theories, posting your own. . . . Wait -- what's that? You were too busy working? Don't worry. We've surfed for you and culled a few of our favorites. (And, ever-faithful to the Web, we've left the grammar and spelling alone.)
From ABC's 'Lost' Forums:''Take the 's' and the second 'd' out of Desmond's name! demon."
''Desmond is a geneticist, and he lost his license for out there experiments so he came to the island and built the magnetic system to be able to get people to the island so he could have test subjects for his experiments."
''Jack worked at St. Sebastian's hospital. St. Sebastian is associated with the plagues (Black Death) in Europe -- I checked in on the catholic website."
''Desmond is French for of worlds"
From the 'Lost' forums on televisionwithoutpity.com:''I am convinced that the beginning sequence is not real. . . . Desmond looked dirty and grungy at the end. In the hour or so between him putting on his uniform and him holding a gun to Locke's head, there's no way he went from GQ to Eddie Vedder circa 1992."
''I thought Desmond was the devil and Jack unknowingly made a deal with him to make what's her face walk again."
''The word 'Quarantine' was on the inside of the hatch. Now, I don't know about you, but most signs that I've seen on doors refer to what's on the other side of the door. This implies that what's in quarantine is the whole island."
''What Walt says is backwards. I took the liberty of recording the audio and ran it in reverse. The first thing he says is, 'Press the button.' "
From Lost-Forum.com:''John DESMOND bernal wrote a book that describes LOST entitled . . . The World, the Flesh and the Devil: An Enquiry into the Future of the Three Enemies of the Rational Soul.". . . this guy has proposed creating a civilization in outer space in a sphere."
''They're Clones. The bodies were cloned before death, and retained memory up to a certain point. 'See you in another life.' "
