With new tower, 'FNX doubles its juice

Twenty-three years after its inception, WFNX-FM (101.7) may finally reach its target listeners. Last week, the tiny modern-rock station, which is owned by the Phoenix Media/Communications Group, moved its tower from Medford to One Financial Center in downtown Boston and increased its power from 3,000 to 6,000 watts.
