Genie Francis (left), better known as Laura from "General Hospital," headlines this schmaltz-fest, which Hallmark is reairing tonight. ON DEMAND
The Opposite of Sex
Comcast

This study of familial and sexual dysfunction is rudely funny in its first half, draggy in its second. But it's a wonderful showcase for Christina Ricci (left) as an ice- pick-tongued teenager, using scorching one-liners as weapons as she invades the space of her gay brother, drolly played by Martin Donovan. (R; runs on Encore through Jan. 10)

An Unreasonable Man
9 p.m., Channel 2

That man would be Ralph Nader (left), who led the modern consumer movement and was blamed by some for Al Gore's loss in 2000. With lots of archival footage and interviews with Pat Buchanan, Todd Gitlin, William Greider, and Eric Alterman, this documentary looks back over Nader's career. It's presented as part of PBS's "Independent Lens" series.
