Tila Tequila's New Year's Eve Masquerade 2008
11 p.m., MTV

There's a whole mess of New Year's Eve stuff on tonight, but this one will probably be the strangest. MTV's "bisexual" reality-show star (left) will host the party from MTV's Times Square studios, alongside gossip blogger Perez Hilton. Music will be provided by Mary J. Blige, Kid Rock, Good Charlotte, and Paramore.

ON DEMAND
The Nomi Song
Comcast

A documentary about the forgotten New Wave singer/performance artist/baroque Martian oddity Klaus Nomi (above), whose stage act consisted of singing intensely beautiful pop-opera while dressed as an alien interloper. Andrew Horn's fine film uses interviews and wonderful video footage from the vault to recreate downtown Manhattan at the dawn of the 1980s. This ain't no Mudd Club, but it's as close as we're going to get. (Unrated; runs through Feb. 19) - Ty Burr

The Twilight Zone Marathon
8 a.m., Sci Fi

This annual event, which will run until Tuesday, showcases one of my favorite series of all time. Warning: If you check in to this marathon, you may get stuck there. Tonight at 8:30, Sci Fi is airing "Deaths-Head Revisited," about an SS officer who returns to Dachau concentration camp. And at midnight, it's "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street," about suburban paranoia that has relevance in this time of terrorism. Pictured: "Twilight Zone" host and creator Rod Serling.
