KIDNAPPED ACTORS
Law & Order
9 and 10 p.m., Channel 7
The show returns tonight with two new episodes and two new regular characters, both of whom were on the canceled NBC series "Kidnapped." Jeremy Sisto, Billy from "Six Feet Under," is a new detective named Cyrus. And Linus Roache, who starred in the 1994 movie "Priest," is the new chief assistant DA. They’re both great additions, although the show's plots are still walking the high wire between totally stupid and completely absurd.

Gossip Girl

Project Runway

It's a match made in heaven - "7th Heaven," to be exact. Aaron Spelling's issue-oriented family series, about Minister Eric Camden and his family, begins its syndication run on the Hallmark Channel today. First up: the pilot episode, in which Matt tries to stop smoking with a little help from Eileen Brennen.

Love Actually

Writer Richard Curtis ("Four Weddings and a Funeral," "Notting Hill") makes his directorial debut with an overstuffed romantic comedy that reworks - and reworks - the best bits of his screenplays. The results are often forced, but a cast that includes Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Laura Linney, Keira Knightley and Alan Rickman makes it go down nicely. Seriously, though - Hugh Grant as the British prime minister? (R; runs through Jan. 3) - Ty Burr
