See Jake. See Amy. See Jake and Amy fight. See Paul listen.
You never dreamed TV could be as exciting as watching traffic.
There is a spy in the house of dumb.
This is the item in which I once again write about how this series is grotesque, how it makes addiction and sobriety into a farce, and how perversely watchable it is. Last week, Dr. Drew gave Jeff Conaway's girlfriend, Vicki, a stern lecture about enabling Jeff with her PMS medication, and she did not take the news well. Of course, if she took the news well, the producers would probably fire her. And then she'd never get a VH1 reality series of her very own.
The producers take advantage of the ladies' naked ambitions.
A new profile of Lindsay Lohan. Biography rides the cutting edge.
1/2 The story of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl's 2002 kidnapping and murder, adapted from the memoir written by his widow, Mariane Pearl. Angelina Jolie (above with Dan Futterman) plays Mariane ably and stoically enough that you forget it's a performance, but director Michael Winterbottom structures the film as a suspense procedural, and there can be no suspense when we all know what's coming. In English, French, Urdu, and Arabic, with subtitles. (R; runs through Feb. 28) - Ty Burr![]()
