THE BALLAD OF JOHN
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
9 p.m., Channel 25
The women on this show, Lena Headey as Sarah and Summer Glau as Cameron, are the reasons to watch. But Thomas Dekker is all right, too, as John, the boy they are protecting. Where have you seen his face before? That's right, "Heroes." He was cheerleader Claire's friend, Zach during the first season. Zach was or wasn't supposed to be gay, depending on whom you ask.

A Hard Day's Night
9 p.m., IFC
I Will.

In Treatment
9:30 p.m., HBO
I'm Looking Through You.

Law & Order
6-11 p.m., TNT
Eight Days a Week.

YESTERDAY
How I Met Your Mother
8 p.m., Channel 4
I loved this episode when it first aired in October. It highlights much of what is special about this sitcom, as it flies around in time. The theme is how Lily, Marshall, and Ted met one another back in college, and whether or not there was a Lily-Ted kiss. The episode also introduces Barney's Hot-Crazy Scale and the wisdom that sometimes a sandwich is not just a sandwich.

Color Splash
8:30 p.m., HGTV
Mean Mr. Mustard.

Antiques Roadshow
8 p.m., Channel 2
Money (That's What I Want).

ON DEMAND
Reign Over Me
Comcast
Adam Sandler's in serious mode as a shellshocked New Yorker whose family perished on 9/11, and Don Cheadle plays the former college roommate who tries to bring him back to the land of the living. Mike Binder's film sounds like mawkish male-bonding therapy porn and occasionally it is, but it honors the sound of men hanging around saying nothing. Don't ask about the women, though. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

9 p.m., Channel 25

The women on this show, Lena Headey as Sarah and Summer Glau as Cameron, are the reasons to watch. But Thomas Dekker (left, with Headey) is all right, too, as John, the boy they are protecting. Where have you seen his face before? That's right, "Heroes." He was cheerleader Claire's friend, Zach during the first season. Zach was or wasn't supposed to be gay, depending on whom you ask.
