YES TO MARSHALL
How I Met Your Mother
8:30 p.m., Channel 4
One of the secret weapons of this sitcom is Jason Segel, who plays Marshall. He's just so foolishly lovable, as he was on "Freaks and Geeks" as Nick. And Segel and Alyson Hannigan have developed a great relationship on the show as a couple who revel in the absurd minutiae of each other's lives. Tonight, Marshall questions his job choice.

Notting Hill
8 p.m., Flix
Starring Mischa Barton as "12-year-old actress."

The Bachelor: London Calling
10 p.m., Channel 5
A group ski date, not key date.

Dirty Jobs
9 p.m., Discovery Channel

Mike goes to New York. Elevators don't repair themselves, yet.

GALA TIME
The CMT Music Awards 2008
8 p.m., CMT
It's a family affair. Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus co-host the big event in Nashville. Not quite Donnie and Marie, but still. The list of performers is just what you'd expect: Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw. Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, and Keith Urban.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken
8 p.m., AMC
Don Knotts. He is you, you are him.

Rules of Engagement
9:30 p.m., Channel 4
Seriously, you can't care what happens, can you?

ON DEMAND
The Hunting Party
Comcast, Movies and Events
A gonzo comedy-drama about US journalists tracking a Bosnian war criminal, and if that sounds like a tricky tone to pull off, you're right. It worked well for writer-director Richard Shepard's last movie, "The Matador," but genocide's awfully hard to decorate with farce. Richard Gere gives it his all as a boozy, disgraced TV journalist. (R; runs through April 24) - Ty Burr
