CB4
1/2 This is "Spinal Rap": Like its mockumentary progenitor, it's a cotton-candy comic take on one of pop music's hot genres, goofing on inside knowledge but flitting quickly enough from joke to sight gag to joke so that the mainstream can ride along. Star Chris Rock co-wrote the script and stars as one of the rappers who makes it big by taking on a cartoonish "gangsta" persona. (R; runs through April 24)
