Funny bone
'Til Death
8 p.m., Channel 25

Ken Jeong, who played an obstetrician in "Knocked Up" guest stars as a doctor here, and I can't resist giving him a plug. I knew him in New Orleans, in his early days as a stand-up comedian and medical resident, and he's a serious up-and-comer. (And a pretty good doctor, too.)

Supernanny
9 p.m., Channel 5
The kids won't sleep in their own beds. Cry me a river.

American Idol
9 p.m., Channel 25
Andrew Lloyd Webber appears, and Ryan Seacrest searches for an original way to draw out the elimination.

Breaking the Magician's Code: Magic's Secrets Finally Revealed
9 p.m. My Network TV
So I can finally figure out how Dad found that quarter in my ear!

FRESH BLOOD
Law and Order
10 p.m., Channel 7
Anthony Anderson premieres his role as a detective, replacing Jesse L. Martin, who leaves the show after nine years. Anderson was likable enough as a New Orleans police officer in the short-lived drama "K-Ville," but I really miss him as a crafty villain in "The Shield."

Flavor of Love
3 10 p.m., VH1
Flav gets advice from radio talk-show listeners. They're always so smart about politics; why not love?

The Big 4-0
10 p.m. TV Land
Skydiving for your 40th birthday? Crazy. Doing it when you're wheelchair-bound? Crazy and impressive.

ON DEMAND
Rushmore
Comcast, Encore
Wes Anderson's invigoratingly original and flat-out delightful comedy about two unlikely buddies in love with the same pretty schoolteacher. Jason Schwartzman is a find as an obsessive, precocious, and overextended prep-schooler. Bill Murray gives the performance of his career as an unhappy steel tycoon aching to remake his life. (R; runs through May 8)

Correction: Because of an editing error, the Critic's Corner column in Wednesday's Sidekick section carried the wrong byline. Joanna Weiss wrote it.
