Dancing With the Stars Special: Judges' All-Time Top Ten
8 p.m., Channel 5

First or second rule of reality TV: There's always room for a retrospective.

Saturday Night Live: Best of Molly Shannon

8:30 p.m., Channel 7

Warming us up for Shannon's debut in the NBC sitcom "Kath & Kim" next fall?

American Idol
8 p.m., Channel 25

Show us some passion, Jason Castro! Or else be utterly true to yourself, and fall asleep in the middle of your song.

Women Behind Bars
9 p.m., WE

As opposed to, you know, women in peril.

HARMONIZED
Women's Murder Club

10:02 p.m., Channel 5

This show is so formulaic on the face of it - "Sex and the City" girls unite to fight crime - that I really want to hate it. But I don't. Maybe it's Angie Harmon (left) who saves it for me; "Law and Order" was never the same without her.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels
10:30 p.m., A&E

Gene does "research" for a book on women's prostitution. I'm sure the guy's a dedicated journalist.

ON DEMAND
The Green Mile
Comcast, Showtime

"Shawshank Redemption" writer-director Frank Darabont goes back to prison with Stephen King and scores again with an involving story about supernatural happenings shaking up the grisly routine on a Louisiana prison death row in 1935. Tom Hanks's humane guard reacts with increasing awe to Michael Clarke Duncan's saintly giant, whom Hanks just can't believe is a killer. (R; runs through May 12)

40 Hottest Hotties of the '90s
8 p.m., VH1

Some nights, VH1 airs terrific documentaries like "The Night James Brown Saved Boston." Some nights, it counts down hotties from the not-so-distant past (like Pam Anderson, above). This, friends, is a network with a personality disorder.
