Refreshing follow-up comedy by David O. Russell, the writer-director of "Spanking the Monkey." Ben Stiller (above right with David Patrick Kelly) and Patricia Arquette are a discontented couple who hit the road in search of his birth parents and his roots. Robinson knows his way around dysfunction and makes it the film's motor: The sex talk is funny and believably contemporary. And Tea Leoni is a standout as a sexually confused adoption-agency minion.
