WORTH RECYCLING: "Planet Earth" (Discovery Channel) A stunning 11-part series available on DVD that captures the intense beauty and hardships of life on Earth. It's an emotional paean to our home in the guise of a cool documentary.

NOT READY FOR THE GARBAGE YET: "Greensburg"(Planet Green) This reality series, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, shows how a Kansas town that was destroyed by a tornado last year is rebuilding green. If it can avoid staginess and sanctimony, "Greensburg" could be a worthy chronicle.

FOR THE COMPOST PILE: "Wa$ted" (Planet Green) Calling ordinary families with un-green habits "eco criminals," hosts Annabelle Gurwitch and Holter Graham pressure them to save the planet and join the cool kids.

DUMP: "Alter Eco" (Planet Green) "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier makes green living look totally cool. You hang out with friends, drink organic wine, and have dinner parties celebrating your own correctness. —MATTHEW GILBERT
