VERY VERITE
Hopkins
10 p.m., Channel 5
For this six-week docu-series, the makers of 2000’s remarkable "Hopkins 24/7" return to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. They focus on the stresses of the doctors, both personally and professionally, but without the manipulations of so much reality TV. It’s more real than "Grey's Anatomy," but can it possibly be more truthful than "Scrubs"?

Swingtown
10 p.m., Channel 4
Kitschy kitschy koo.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
8 p.m., Encore
Yo ho no.

Last Comic Standing
8 p.m., Channel 7
Ho-ho-ho hum.

SUMMER PUSH
How I Met Your Mother
8 p.m., Channel 4
For a while now, CBS has been airing repeats of this Monday sitcom on Thursdays. I think that finally, the network has come round to seeing the breakout potential of the show, which just finished its third season. Tonight's episode is the one where Ted and Robin think about moving in together - and think again. When the couple finally broke up, this episode stood as an explanation of why their relationship was doomed.

Million Dollar Baby
8 p.m., AMC
Wham-bam, um, boo-hoo.

PGA Golf Tour
8:30 p.m., Golf Channel
Tee he.

ON DEMAND
Marie Antoinette
Comcast, Encore
From Sofia Coppola comes this shameless yet unimpeachably cool work of hipsterism, with Kirsten Dunst in the title role by way of Rodeo Drive. Given Coppola's fashion-first approach, it's a miracle the film doesn't feel more like a long perfume ad. The movie has atmosphere, beauty, spirit, and texture. It almost even has a point. With Steve Coogan, Rip Torn, Asia Argento, and Jason Schwartzman as Louis XVI. - Wesley Morris (PG-13; runs through July 10)
