The annual sci-fi and fantasy convention has grown in stature and influence in recent years. Tonight, G4 will look ahead to this summer's Comic-Con, which will take place in San Diego on July 24-27. Two teenage girls (Emily Blunt and Nathalie Press ) fall in love and shock the Yorkshire locals. Pawel Pawlikowski's ode to adolescent passion has been shot with a feverish, ripe-to-bursting intensity that mirrors its heroines' emotional state. The tone remains stranded, though: Is this tragedy? Parody? Class war? An ode to hedonism? Pawlikowski gives us a little of everything and something perilously close to nothing. (R; runs through July 16) - Ty Burr
