CELEBUCHUCK
Chuck
8 p.m., Channel 7
To be honest, I've never gotten the whole Nicole Richie thing. After she starred with Paris Hilton on "The Simple Life," she became one of those overnight tabloid stars whose weight, marital status, and drug use became a public commodity. She doesn't have much mystique, does she? Anyway, tonight she's on "Chuck" (starring, from left, Joshua Gomez as Morgan and Zachary Levi as Chuck).

Modern Marvels
8 p.m., History Channel
Exploring projectile accuracy. Let's hope no keggers are involved.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta
9 and 10 p.m., Bravo
The fake ones are too busy making reality shows.

Gossip Girl
8 p.m., Channel 56
Blair retaliates. That is all ye need to know.

A MISS?
My Own Worst Enemy
10 p.m., Channel 7
This was one of the more eagerly awaited new shows of the season, and it got tons of advance NBC promo. But guess what: A relatively small number of viewers - 7.3 million - tuned in for the premiere last week. Maybe the Jekyll-Hyde concept is played out? Or maybe Christian Slater should become a British citizen, since so many American TV stars are these days?

Apocalypse How
9 p.m., Discovery Channel
Theories on the end of the world. Because reading the news isn't scary enough?

Lost
7-11 p.m., Sci Fi
Remember the raft. Aww.

ON DEMAND
Bad Boys
Comcast, Encore
Big, dumb, noisy, macho-action stuff about two Miami cops retrieving a drug load stolen from police headquarters. What saves it from disappearing into its car chases, explosions, guns and testosterone is its comic chemistry between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. We'll see more of slinky newcomer Tea Leoni, too. (R; runs through Oct. 23)
