There are so very many great mysteries in this world, and one of them has to do with exactly what is going on underneath Goldie Hawn's bangs. But I don't think James Lipton will be investigating that issue tonight when he interviews Hawn (above). The Oscar winner will share her wisdom on acting, working with Peter Sellers, and onscreen nudity.

Machines of Malice 9 p.m., Discovery Channel
Are you a sadist at heart? If so, here's a sugar treat for you. This hour looks at a wide range of deadly machines throughout history, from the guillotine and the garrote to the electric chair. But will the Discovery Channel get into, oh, say, the "90210" remake? Or "Knight Rider"? Because they're lethal in their own ways, too.
