Critic's corner
Annie Hall 8:30 p.m., TCM "Don't worry. We can walk to the curb from here." I've used that line so many times over the years, I like to pretend I came up with it. But of course it was Woody Allen in this movie, which is stuffed with great dialogue. After Annie (Diane Keaton, above with Allen) notes how clean California is, Woody says: "That's because they don't throw their garbage away. They turn it into television shows." If you're undergoing Post-election Existential Nothingness Syndrome, this classic might help you smile.
Elvis Mitchell: Under the Influence 8 p.m., TCM This week the film critic talks to Ed Norton. A sewer worker and the husband to Trixie, Norton is an esteemed member of the Raccoon Lodge. Best friend to Ralph Kramden, he is often on the receiving end of Ralph's bad temper. Norton also happens to be the prototype for the character of Barney Rubble on - wait, what's that? Oh. Edward Norton has a new movie out and he's promoting it tonight with Elvis Mitchell.
Numb2rs 10 p.m., Channel 4 I know it's "Numb3rs." But, h2y. R2c2ssion.
Cast Away 8 p.m., TNT "My Dinner With Wilson."
Dexter 10 p.m., Showtime Who is the Skinner? I like Ron Popeil for it.
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? 8 p.m., Channel 25 Gene Simmons. Hope he doesn't get tongue-tied.
Deal or No Deal 8 p.m., Channel 7 A teacher from Pennsylvania plays? OK, now that's must-see. ![]()
